Candace E. Holmes is a native Delawarean. Candace received a B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Delaware and a J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of the District of Columbia – David A. Clarke School of Law. While in law school, Candace served as an Associate and Senior Editor for the UDC Law Review and as an Evening Division Senator for the Student Bar Association. Prior to joining Schmittinger & Rodriguez, Candace worked as a judicial law clerk in the New Castle County Family Court.
Candace currently practices in the area of workers’ compensation, exclusively on behalf of injured workers. Candace also volunteers for Delaware Volunteer Legal Services (DVLS), handling family law matters (divorce, custody, protection from abuse, property division, visitation, dependency and neglect, and guardianship of a minor).
Candace is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of Delaware, and she is a member of the American Bar Association, Delaware State Bar Association, Kent County Bar Association, and the Randy J. Holland Delaware Workers’ Compensation American Inn of Court.
