Craig T. Eliassen is a highly experienced attorney based in Dover, Delaware. Born and raised in Dover, Craig has been committed to serving his community throughout his career. He has been practicing law since 1984 and is admitted to practice in the State of Delaware.

Craig began his academic journey at St. Andrews University, where he graduated with honors in 1980. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University in 1984. He was a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal honor society.

After law school, Craig served as a law clerk for the Superior Court in Kent County, Delaware. This experience provided him with invaluable insight into the legal system, which he has been able to leverage throughout his career.

Craig’s commitment to public service began early in his career. He served as Counsel to the House of Representatives for the State of Delaware from 1993-1995. He then worked as an attorney for Kent County Row Offices from 1995-1999. During this time, he also served as a Director of St. Thomas More Academy from 1997-2001.

In 1999, Craig was appointed as Chair of the Governor’s Magistrate Screening Committee. He also served as a Trustee for Delaware Technical and Community College from 1999-2010 and was a member of the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association from 2010-2017. Since 2018 he has served as the Kent County attorney.

Craig is a member of several legal associations, including the Kent County, Delaware State, and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Delaware State Bar Association. Craig has been an active member of the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association, where he served as the Legislative Agent from 1991-1992, a Legislative Committee Member since 1999, and a LAW-PAC Trustee since 1994. Craig was also a State Delegate for the American Association for Justice from 1995-1999.

With over 38 years of legal experience, Craig has developed a reputation in the practice areas of personal injury, worker’s compensation, litigation, and municipal law. He has successfully represented countless clients and has recovered millions of dollars in settlements, awards, and verdicts. His clients appreciate his compassion, his attention to detail, and his ability to explain complex legal concepts in plain English.

Craig has also served as a Solicitor for the Town of Camden since 2002, and as the Solicitor for the Town of Blades since 2019. He has also been the Legal Advisor for the Delaware Association of Chiefs of Police since 2016. His deep roots in the community and service to the residents signify his passion for serving justice.
