WILLIAM D. FLETCHER

William D. Fletcher is a well-respected attorney in Delaware, with over 45 years of experience practicing law in the state. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mr. Fletcher has lived and worked in Delaware for many years. He is known for his expertise in several areas of law, including car and truck accidents, personal injury, wrongful death claims, employment law, and civil litigation.

After graduating from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1972, Mr. Fletcher thereafter earned his Juris Doctor degree from Washington & Lee University in 1975. He was admitted to the Delaware Bar that same year and has been practicing law in the state ever since.

Mr. Fletcher began his legal career as an Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Dover, a position he held from 1977 to 1981. During this time, he gained valuable experience in municipal law and litigation, which has served him well throughout his career. He went on to become a member of several prominent legal organizations, including the Kent County, Delaware State, and American Bar Associations, as well as the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. Mr. Fletcher has also served on Delaware Supreme Court and Delaware Superior Court Committees, further demonstrating his commitment to the legal profession and the state of Delaware.

Mr. Fletcher’s legal expertise includes car and truck accidents, personal injury claims, wrongful death claims, employment discrimination claims, and civil litigation. His work in employment law has included representing both employers and employees.  Mr. Fletcher has successfully litigated cases in the Delaware Supreme Court, the Delaware Superior Court (in all three counties), the Delaware Court of Chancery, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.
